Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Kawarthas by travelling by canoe with the Canadian Canoe Museum. These authentic, safe, and informative canoe programs are led by certified instructors with a rich knowledge in canoe culture, skills and heritage. Did we mention they are fun too?!
A range of programs are available but the focus for this year is on Basic Canoeing-essentially mastering the fundamentals so that you can move into guiding, instructing or just looking pro at the cottage!
The course certification is with Ontario Recreational Canoeing and Kayaking Association and are led by certified instructors.

If you want to just get out on the water with a group of paddlers, explore the waterways of the Kawartha area and have fun and learn at the same time, we have the canoe program for you! Introducing Explore Nature in the Kawarthas by Canoe ! From salamander hunting to wild edibles to bird song identification, tree id, plants, geology and more, each participant will finish the day feeling more inspired and connected!
