Thank you for making 2015 such an incredible year for The Canadian Canoe Museum. Together, your support, donations, and enthusiasm helped raise over $36,000 to support a new virtual learning program at the Museum in 2016 – exceeding our $20,000 fundraising goal by over $16,000!

Thanks to this thrilling support, the Museum has been able to begin immediate development of the Virtual Field Trip program, with plans to have the first offerings online before the end of January 2016!

We couldn’t have done it without you – THANK YOU!

This generous investment enables the Museum to be the FIRST Museum partner to offer virtual field trips from Canada as part of the Microsoft Educator Network (regularly used by over 1.5 million teachers worldwide).

Participation in the Microsoft Educator Network enables the Museum to bring its award-winning programs, messages and tours interactively to classrooms across Canada and the world – allowing students and teachers from around the globe to engage directly with our collection, our staff, and the stories they represent.

Your investment in the program supports virtual project coordination, development and production of content and lesson plans, and the production of the virtual tours.

Check out some of the great feedback we received on this initiative from people like you:

“Very excited by this opportunity.”

“This is a great way to educate youth about the history of Canada and its involvement with the canoe. I wish you all the success with it.”

“Go for it! Happy to be part of helping make this opportunity happen.”
