Make a Leather Knife Sheath

April 13, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

$120

Each student will learn the basics of sheath design and will create their own unique sheath to fit their own favorite knife. We will do some wet-forming, some leather stamping and shaping so that each sheath fits each individual knife just as the owner makes it to be. We will learn what it means to use edge bevellers, rivet setters, snap setters, and slickers. When the sheaths are completed for design and construction, every participant will be taught how to color and seal the leather. Then each student will be sent home with a dye and finish kit to complete their sheath at home. The satisfaction of making something so practical and beautiful is one result of this workshop.

Be careful because this craft is contagious!
