National Indigenous People’s Day

June 21, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 2:30 pm

In Partnership with TRACKS (Trent Aboriginal Cultural Knowledge and Science) and Metis Nation of Ontario Peterborough and District Wapiti

In celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day, we are partnering with TRACKS and the Metis Nation of Ontario to offer a unique visit experience for grade 4-8 students. Join us at the museum and celebrate First Nations, Inuit and Métis cultures, traditions and technologies that have helped shape our experiences on Turtle Island and the country that we call Canada. Students will move in groups of 10-15 through staff-facilitated stations to explore fire-keeping, jiimaan building, bannock making, learning about the significance of the Metis sash and the Red River cart, playing Inuit games, learning about the importance of Traditional stories and more. Registration limited!

$10 per student
