What does it take to move a collection of over 600 watercraft? Join The Canadian Canoe Museum’s Curator, Jeremy Ward, for a look at the unique challenges and surprises of the work that is already underway to safely move a remarkable watercraft collection, and the stories they carry, to our new home at the water’s edge.
Discover the ongoing meticulous documentation and preparation of each object, the research and relationship-building that also supports their understanding and continued stewardship, as well as the technical challenges and a few surprising discoveries. This virtual tour offers a unique perspective on many little-seen artifacts in the Museum’s Collection Centre, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions along the way.
