Kevin Callan comes to The Canadian Canoe Museum to bring you his Winter Camping workshop! Also known as the Happy Camper, Kevin is a legendary Canadian camping icon and the author of many excellent books and resources on camping including, The Complete Guide to Winter Camping. This one-day workshop will make you better equipped for your winter camping trip. Space is limited, so book now!

Embrace winter with a hands-on workshop on winter camping. Instructor Kevin Callan (a.k.a. The Happy Camper) will cover trip planning, cold camping vs. hot tenting, packing, stoves, food, hauling gear, safety, fire lighting, wood I.D., animal tracking, map and compass…and much more. After this workshop, you will be well prepared to make an overnight trip on your own.

Kevin Callan is the author of 19 books, including the best-selling The Complete Guide to Winter Camping. He’s a columnist for Explore Magazine and Paddling Magazine and a regular host on television and radio; check out his very popular YouTube channel KCHappyCamper.
