Kids will be encouraged to “get their hands dirty” and can stay for one day or multiple days

The Canadian Canoe Museum is inviting kids and their creativity to a series of six workshops being offered on March Break.

New this year is a full-day workshop on March 16 titled “So, You Wanna Be A Knot Star?”. This action-packed day for ages nine and up will include paracord and knot tying stations throughout the exibits and finish up with the making of monkey paw key chains to take home. Back by popular demand on March 20 is “Limberjacks”. In this woodworking and art-making workshop for ages eight and up, children will make their own limberjack toy from scratch and create clothing, hair, and more!

This approach to March Break programming, with its hands-on offerings, gives families the flexibility to register for one day or multiple days. Workshops are priced individually and more information is available at www.canoemuseum.ca/march-break-camps.

“Once again this year, our team is busy sorting fabrics, stacking lumber, cutting soapstone and organizing hand tools for our March Break workshops,” says Programs Coordinator Kelly Pineault. “Every year we look forward to guiding our campers as they work with their hands in each of our programs to create something special and unique to them.”
