Kids will be encouraged to get their hands dirty and can stay for a half-day, full-day or multiple days

The Canadian Canoe Museum is inviting kids and their creativity to a series of eight workshops being offered on March Break.

Children painting mini paddlesThis approach to March Break programming, with its hands-on offerings, gives families the flexibility to register for a half-day, full-day or multiple days. Children six to 12 will have the chance to paint a mini paddle, carve a piece of soapstone or experiment with canoes, while children eight and up can build their own wanigan, and children aged nine and up, can experience what it’s like to carve or paint a design on their very own two-foot paddle! Workshops, as well as supervised lunches, are priced individually and more information is available here.

“Our team is busy sorting fabrics, stacking lumber, cutting soapstone and organizing hand tools for our March Break workshops,” says Programs Coordinator Kelly Pineault. “Every year we look forward to guiding our campers as they work with their hands in each of our programs to create something special and unique to them.”
