Carve a Wooden Cup – July 27th, 2024

July 27 @ 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

Carve a wooden cup perfect for your next canoe or camping trip with knowledgeable carver, John Wager.

In this one day workshop participants start with a cup blank which is a chunky version of what the finished cup will be. Participants will start by hollowing the inside of the cups before shaping the outsides.

Everyone leaves with a finished cup!

No experience necessary is necessary to participate in this workshop!

About the instructor: My name is John Wager, I’m Michi Saagiig Anishinaabe from Curve Lake First Nation. I make and sell craft for a living along with teaching the skills I have learned along the way in workshops. I live on my reserve and I love my community. I carve lots of spoons but I also make Baskets, Knives, Bowls, Cups, Canoe Paddles, and even some leatherwork.
