Weave a Black Ash Basket – April 12th, 2025
April 12, 2025 @ 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Spend the day making a black ash basket with knowledgeable carver and basket maker, John Wager.
Learn about the basics of weaving while you craft your own black ash basket in our Living Traditions Studio. You’ll learn about black ash and the process of pounding splints while you work on your own project in a welcoming, fun environment.
Make a square-to-round black ash gathering basket that measures approximately 5 inches tall and 6-9 inches in diameter.
Everyone leaves with a finished basket!
No experience necessary is necessary to participate in this workshop!
