Community Giving

As part of our mission of environmental stewardship, youth education, and benefiting the local community, we strive to support organizations and projects that align with our values.

Read on to find out if you are eligible for our Community Giving Program.

The Canadian Canoe Museum’s Donations

The Canadian Canoe Museum is proud to be part of the community and to support its community members. Every month, The Canadian Canoe Museum will award a limited number of complimentary visits for two guests (approximate value: $40.00). Cash donations will not be provided by The Canadian Canoe Museum.

Due to the large number of requests, only a limited number of donation requests will be considered each month. Donations will be awarded on a first-come, first-served monthly basis.

The following are eligible to receive donations from The Canadian Canoe Museum:

  • Registered charities or not-for-profit organizations
  • Organizations with projects that align with the Museum’s funding priorities: youth education, community, and the great outdoors
  • Recognized government entities that are requesting in-kind donations exclusively for public fundraising
  • Public/private schools, registered youth clubs and organizations, colleges/universities

Funding Priorities

The Canadian Canoe Museum is committed to supporting organizations that focus on:

Outdoor Education

Organizations that are committed to educating youth through arts and culture, history, and outdoor activity.

As an organization that stewards the world’s largest and most significant collection of canoes, kayaks & paddled watercraft, we will honour and share the cultural histories and stories within the collection in all that we do.
