Group Visits

We welcome groups of all ages to The Canadian Canoe Museum!

Bringing a group of 10+ to the Museum? Learn more about our group offerings below and connect with us to plan your group visit in advance.

General Admission Rates

General admission for groups, which must comprise a minimum of 10 visitors, are as follows:

Adults (18+)$18.00 + HST
Seniors (65+)$16.00 + HST
Youth (5-17)$13.00 + HST
Kids (0-4)FREE
Groups are welcome during regular business hours.
Groups must book their visit and any add-ons 30 days in advance to take advantage of volume pricing.

Group Experience Add-Ons

General Admission tickets must be purchas ed to qualify for a Group Experience Add-On. These Add-Ons are available to groups with a minimum of 10 visitors.

While our Exhibition Hall is popular as a self-guided experience, we do offer tours for those interested in an in-depth exploration.

Group Exhibition Hall Tour Rates:

  • Adults: $18.00 + HST
  • Senior (65+): $16.00 + HST
  • Youth (5-17): $13.00 + HST
  • Child (0-4): Free

Duration: Approximately 1 hour

Content discussed on tours is suitable for all ages. However, we do remind visitors that the hour is predominantly standing and listening and a self-guided experience may be preferred by some to best accomodate individual needs.

Enjoy a hand-crafted, artisanal lunch made at the Museum’s onsite cafe, the Silver Bean Cafe.

Please contact the Silver Bean Cafe, Canadian Canoe Museum location to arrange catering or large group orders at least one week in advance when placing orders.

Voyageur Canoe Tour

A Voyageur Canoe Tour can be added to a group experience during our paddling season (May – October, weather dependent) if weather and water conditions permit. This is a great team-building activity for colleagues, groups, and families! The Voyageur Canoe Tours are available to groups with a minimum of 10 visitors.

The Voyageur Canoe Tour is an on-water paddling experience in which groups learn about the surrounding waterways from the vantage point of a Voyageur Canoe. The Canoe Guide, Personal Flotation Device, and paddles are all-inclusive. Participants must weigh 30 lbs or more, and children need to be accompanied by an adult or guardian.

Group Rates:

  • Adults: $38.00 + HST
  • Senior (65+): $36.00 + HST
  • Youth (5-17): $22.00 + HST
  • Child (0-4): Free

Duration: Approximately 90 minutes

Deluxe Group Packages

This package includes general admission to the Museum and is priced per guest. Deluxe Group Packages are available to groups with a minimum of 10 visitors.

The VIP experience at the Canadian Canoe Museum is an immersive full-day experience featuring indoor and outdoor adventures! This package includes a tour of the Exhibition Hall, a tour of the Collection Hall, a Voyageur Canoe Tour of Little Lake with a Canoe Guide, and an Après Canoe on the Museum’s Upper Terrace or Gathering Room.

Group Rates:

  • Adults: $350.00 + HST
  • Senior (65+): $330.00 + HST
  • Youth (12-17): $300.00 + HST

Duration: Approximately 5 hours

All guests participating in the VIP experience must be 12 years old or above.

Only available May-October due to the paddling season.

Group Cancellation Policy

If a group cancels within 14 days of the requested tour date, a refund minus a $50 administration fee will be issued. In the case of a no-show by the group, no refund will be issued. A written confirmation by email is required for cancellations.

Voyageur Canoe Tours operate rain or shine from May to October. The tour will only be cancelled due to weather and water conditions if it is deemed unsafe by The Canadian Canoe Museum’s Canoe Guides. This includes electrical storms, high winds, or torrential rains. If the tour is cancelled due to weather and water conditions, the Group has the option of booking an alternate tour date/time or receiving a full refund of the tour amount.

Whether you’re bringing visitors from within Canada or from further away, we make it easy for Tour Operators to bring your tour group to the Museum.

  • Signage and exhibits are presented in English, French, and Anishnaabemowin, the local Indigenous language.
  • An event space that offers a sweeping view of the lake, available to rent for conferences, corporate retreats, special events, and weddings.
  • Onsite café with adjacent indoor and outdoor lakefront terrace and fireplace.
  • Beautiful waterfront campus intersected by the Trans Canada Trail, which connects to nearby parks.
  • Canoes and kayaks are available for daily rentals.
